This is my first time trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Now I am here to give you some insite of this city. I was there on a official work so i didn't get much of a chance to explore the city.. Very short time and a lot of things to do. KK means Kota Kinabalu in this journal ok
Overall KK is a nice place to go. Full of nature and sea sides.. The Distance from KL to KK is almost 1800+ KM (Distance by Flying). KK and Kuching has joined Malaysia but Borneo also known as Brunei didn't joined Malaysia. KK is very near to Philippines. You will find a lot of tourist in KK. I stayed in Business hotel, Hotel Radius Intl.
in front of the KK Waterfront. The hotel is located inside a plaza, It's called Warisan Square. Its possible to find all the bars and nice seafood eating place just in the waterfront. Seafood price is Ok .. So Eventually Every night we went party and karaoke.. Some of the Studio Apartments in Waterfront costs rm160 for a week, A 3 room 2 bath apartment costs rm200 for a week or so... Thats cheap but taking a Studio or Apartment for a Day costs rm70-rm120.. Exotic Seafood in front of Hotel Promnade will make u come back for more. Inside city roads are not quite wide but you can feel the nature everywhere.. I wish i could go to Mount Kinabalu.. ah i missed.. Its so pleasant to drive at night drive to the beach and park the car just in front of the water and feel the world is so big and how small we are.. Let your spirit break free... Enjoy the view.. Waterfront has a long and huge number of food stalls, you can get tired of walking beside the food stalls .. its a long walk
KK shopping malls namely is KK Center Point, Asia Complex and the Filipino Market.. Filipino market handicrafts are very nice but i think because of too much exposure the price is too high. A lot of Filipino people working and living in KK. Daily used items Prices are a bit higher than mainland malaysia. Its because most of the items flying or shipped out from mainland Malaysia.. KK is more lively than Kuching.. Kuching is boring in a way.. Life is slow in Kuching.. Overall KK Peoples are good in English. Everyday hundreds of Tourists landing there.. KK has night life similar to KL. KK has a lot of places to visit and peoples are usually friendly. Taxis are quite easy to get. As a subtotal i liked Kota Kinabalu..
